I was diagnosed with depression early in January this year. I had not been my normal self for a couple of months and it was geting worse. I had no appetite, headaches, reduced confidence and self esteem, disturbed sleep and was getting no enjoyment out of activities I usually enjoyed. Stupid little things that wouldn't normally worry me upset me to the point I wanted to cry.


I thought I had been coping well after my husband passed away at 46 from cancer. I was bringing up my 2 boys (now 19&17) on my own. At times it was difficult but they are fairly good kids.

The depression symptoms seemed to start after the second anniversary of his death.I have been on Lexapro for a month now. Some days I feel great, but there are days I feel I have gone backwards.
