Follow-up appointments
Everyone who receives medicinal treatment needs to go to their doctor for follow-up. It is important to monitor accurately how the treatment is working and how you are feeling.
In some cases, the medicine or the dose that your doctor has prescribed doesn't work effectively. There are many ways in which your doctor or psychiatrist can adjust and improve your treatment, for example:
- extend your treatment duration
- give you a higher dose of the same medicine
- change to a different kind of medication
- combine medication and Psychotherapy
- combine medication and ECT
