Guilt and shame

Guilt and shame come hand in hand with depression.

Guilt is an extremely prominent symptom of depression.

Depressed people will twist things to prove their:

  • Ineptitude
  • Selfishness
  • Lack of affection for their family and friends

Guilt is often the driving force that leads down the road to suicide.

Copious guilt and shame are a danger signal for anyone who has admitted to suffering from depression, and also those who have not acknowledged the illness.

Depressed people often take all the sadness in their family and among their friends upon themselves. They draw in all their own misery and that of others, and then view themselves as the cause of that misery.
