A simple poem

A page in the diary "The Words Behind My Tears"
Written by kcdbooks 31. Oct 2004 12:56 AM

Dear deppies,

I wrote this a while ago, maybe one of you will enjoy it.

Dreariness seeps
throught the skin,
worn down by years
of anger and
isolation.

Trapped in a world of
black and white,
right and wrong,
perfection and imperfection
there is no room
for the grey of emotions.

Escape holds no
doors, for to
escape is to loose
all that is known
And to enter a world
of vivid colour.

The broghtness of
a new place brings
pain and sorrow,
for to feel the energy is to
remember what has been lost.

hey kc

I love what you have written. Thank you so much for sharring it. I love poetry.

This is my favourite part:

"Trapped in a world of
black and white,
right and wrong,
perfection and imperfection
there is no room
for the grey of emotions."

I think this captures what so many of us feel. I am sorry for whatever it is you were feeling at the time of writing this, and it is so ironic that what you have written is beautiful, poetic, but you're going through is not.

take care
GT

i also have a poem

Depression

There's a word that is like no other word
it manifests in lonlieness, and
creeps up on people, dooming them to eternal despair.

There's a word that is like no other word
you see it in the cats on display
begging while all of the kittens are sold
and until the sun creeps away.

there's a word that's like no other word
it sneaks in when the sky is grey
worrying away at the door to your heart
until you feel there's no more play.

There's a word that is like no other word
It's a terrible thing to say
That word is the word Depression.
You'll know that word someday.

Thankyou for reading and congrats to kc for her writing.
I know how you feel.
Love u all
from midnight
