After a long recruitment process I managed to get a traineeship position as a community support worker. Its the first job I've ever had so I'm kinda nervous about it as well as excited. So far since Monday I've been going to training sessions at the head office to learn about the administration and protocols of the organisation. Sometimes its been boring sometimes its slightly more practical.

Also, on top of the training for the job I've also started uni as well. Of course, because I can't actually physically be in two places at once I study externally which is sort of like studying via correspondence. In fact I just got my parcel with my readings and course information guides today.

As for my health, I've gained back some weight I lost while I was unwell but otherwise things are fine. I just wish I could go off my medications so I could say I'm a completely healthy person.

Hi a-leng,

Congtatulations on getting a traineeship, i truly wish you the best of luck and hope you enjoy it.

Maybe life will pick up for you now, less worries and time to think of the negatives and more time on keeping your mind occupied whilst hopefully enjoying what you have achieved.

As for your meds, maybe in time you can come of them but hey, dont rush it as it may only cause you more probs and you dont need that now you have gained a traineeship.

Take care a-leng and enjoy your traineeship

A-leng

Congrats on the traineeship and for your uni studies. I did mine externally and hun, you need to be a good time manager to manage studies, work and life. Don't think about stopping the meds until you see how you are coping with the traineeship and studies and your daily life.

Go A-leng!!!
