I was trying to think of a cool title for this introduction to myself entry but the above is all I could think of. Heck, I wasn't even sure if I should be writing this entry as I've previously written an entry when I first did the Recovery Program.

I'm not going to reveal my name but I'm known as a-Leng or just Leng. I'm currently 21 years old. I was diagnosed with depression when I was 17 and have been seeing a psychiatrist since. At the age of 18 I was hospitalised for my depression. Soon after I was told I suffered from schizoaffective disorder.

From time to time I do go through depressive phases and mood swings, but I'd say overall I've been on the path to recovery since I left the hospital. Despite this I find coming to this site helpful and educational when it comes to depression and other mental illnesses.

My hobbies and interests include art, music of most genres, anime (Japanese animation), reading, sometimes writing and drawing when I feel inspired.

its so good to be able to do this isnt it. i find it hard to find titles for my diary aswell.

gotta love that anime. i try to get into the vidoe shop in perth that has them and get out as much as i can.

Hi a-leng,

You dont need a cool title for your diary as its what you write in it thats the important bit. Thanks for letting us know a little more about you. You have such a positive attitude.

Hi Leng,

Well done with the intro.. you don't need a cool title to re introduce yourself... you got it right.

I am glad you are progressing with the recovery of your illness... keep up the good work Leng.

May every day of your life bring you fresh hopes for tomorrow... because hope gives all of us our reason for trying.
