Rant about uni

University is really frustrating me at the moment. The work is starting to pile up and for one assignment I have to do that's due next week I have no idea how to approach it.

What I have to do is find two newspapers who are constantly reporting on a major event, one has to be Australian and one has to be foreign. Thing is I can't find any story from two sources...sucks.

I guess I'll have to keep on searching and hopefully I'll find the required info, either that or I do the other topic which is to analyse two foreign movies and identify media effects on those of my home country, which would be Australia in my case. This one seems a lot harder but the other one is nearly impossible to find info on. *sigh*

Hi sweety!

Don't let the frustration get to you too much! And remember to breathe a big sigh of relief and treat yourself to something nice when it is over, to avoid burning out.

My thoughts are with you!

Hi!

I am sorry to hear uni is frustrating you so much at the moment. I too experienced that when I did a physics course at the local uni.

I agree with Loll, the Schapelle Corby case may be a good thing to go for.

Anyway, I wish you all the best of luck with your assignment!

Cheers,
Michael

Hey a-leng

My suggestion re: major event is australia's imminent loss of the Ashes.

Plenty of papers to pick from and if you wanted to earn more brownie points why not go online to compare aussie papers with UK ones?

Or a more serious one: that model that just got busted for exctasy pills in Bali?

Next week am hoping to see 'Kung fu hustle'...apparently its really good from a young hong kong (?) director.

If you need to see an Aussie film I recommend 'Look Both Ways' - it's more of a black comedy so hopefully you will find it worthwhile.

good luck with it all and try to break things into manageable chunks...that way you may be less likely to become overwhelmed.

Really glad to hear you are sticking with Uni & attending classes. Just be like an AFL footballer...take it one week - or day - at a time.

cheers
