First of all I'd like to thank everyone who commented in my diary, especially in my last entry. It's great to find such supportive people.

I've done two weeks of uni for this semester. It's alright for now because it's all introductory stuff.

I only go on Mondays and the mornings of Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I plan to use the remaining time effectively, either studying or doing something productive.

Last Thursday I went to this thing at the local health service called 'Youth Clinic'. I guess it's like a program to allow young people to learn to express themselves through art, learn some life skills like cooking and job seeking skills as well as have the opportunity to see a doctor, nurse or other medical professional. All those who attended (as well as those who organised it) had a bit to eat as well as discussed what could potentially go on a display board within the health service targeted at young people. We talked about useful info that could be put up as well as letting people know about upcoming events and stuff like that. I plan to go there every week at least for this semester.

I thought it was good and the people seem quite nice. I think I mentioned before that I did some mural painting with some other people at the health service. Well, I got to see a couple of those people so yeah, it was nice to catch up again.

On Saturday I went to the Chinese Association to learn Chinese calligraphy. I thought it was very interesting and very artistic the way the strokes are done.

As for my illness...I'm unsure of what it is anymore. It started off as depression but eventually my pschiatrist started calling it schizoaffective disorder. Then she recently wrote on a medical certificate that it's schizophrenia. I'm thinking what the !@#%? Can't she at least be consistent with the name of it? I mean, I know it's a flunctuating illness but still. It still should have a name.

So, for now things are ok for me. I've gotten over my disappointment of last semester and have decided to start fresh.

"Hi" :) A leng

I wish you all the VERY BEST this semester.

'Youth Clinic' sounds like a WONDERFUL program :)

All the best with learning Chinese Calligraphy, "how WONDERFUL!", i just love the technique and beauty of the writing, i have a few pieces around the house :) PLEASE let me know how your going along with it.

No wonder your thinking "what the #@!* is going on!".

It would make it VERY confusing and unsetteling for you. I think you need to be up frount with her and let her know how your feel about this matter. It's your health, you have every right to voice your concern.

All the best.

MUCH SUPPORT, LIGHT & LOVE.

XOXOXO

Hi A-leng,
Firstly, thanks for your comments on my diary. It is great to have such a good support network of friends here who all understand & care about each other!
Good luck with your study. And the Youth Clinic sounds like an excellent idea. It's good for you to keep active and socialising with others.
Good on you for giving it a go!
Hugs & siles,
Gidge

Hi Honey,

That sounds like a great idea, I wish there was something like it in my neck of the woods, but Perth tends to be a little behind the times!

I can sympathise with the fluctuating diagnosis. I have gone from 'depression' to 'bipolar' to 'chronic depression requiring hospitalisation' to 'anxiety disorder' to 'there is nothing wrong with you' in the past two years. I'm still with the 'there is nothing wrong with you' diagnosis right now but I am so unhappy I can't bring myself to believe that this is just my lot in life.

Regardless of labels, know who you are and you will be fine. Good luck with uni. I started back this semester too, and am starting to tear my hair out!

Take care
Jo (MissJ)
