Life sucks at the moment

I don't know why I was looking forward to university before...I was rejoicing when I found out I got into a course and now...well...I'm not happy.

There is so much work to be done, no one to remind you to do the work and so little time to do the work in, it's ridiculous. Sometimes I wonder how anyone can get High Distinctions, they must be geniuses, either that or they don't do anything else other than study, which is just unrealistic for the majority of people.

I think the workload is starting to get to me, I just hope I don't get into one of those major depressive phases again. I've been through that type of thing enough times for a lifetime.

At least now there's a mid-semester break now, not that that means I can relax completely. I've a few things due the first week back so I have to work on them.

Apart from that I guess life is alright for now. I've managed to squeeze in some time to watch cartoons and anime, which really are the same thing, just from different places.

I feel like typing more but I can't think of anything else that's worth mentioning. I hope things are alright for the rest of your deppies.

I know exactly what you mean...

I have been a perpetual uni student for over a decade now, and this year have decided to undertake my honours year... I thought I had no time when doing my base degree... wow! But the trick is to try to motivate yourself to stay on top of it all. Try not to let it pile up, but work steadily through... Not exactly the 'silver bullet' you'd like I am sure, but a tried and tested method of coping.

Most importantly though... don't give up on yourself! If this is your first semester at Uni then this is the hardest... You came in, didn't know what to expect, are unused to writing in an academic manner, have to learn new ways to learn and study... it's hard. Just try to stay on top of it for this semester knowing that next semester will be easier... It will!!!

Take Care and remember that you are more than capable...

Shane :-)
