Break from the monotony

Hi all.

Just thought you might like to know how things are going.

Well hubby and i saw MHN on Tuesday only for about 15 mins though so well have to go back in two weeks for a much longer appointment.

She was very informative though and might be able to help us with a few things.

Meds seem to be OK. But he is exhausted all the time and sleeps a lot.

I took a break from the monotony of it all and went and had a haircut and some window shopping. Feel a bit better now.

My youngest son seems to be improving in the bowel dept. atm after he threw up on weekend. I hope it lasts.
Still waiting to see specialist at RCH. It seems a long time but it really isnt. Cant wait.

My youngest is also seeing school consellor quite a bit and it is helping a bit. Kids have been teasing him about his poo problem which really hurts and makes him angry. The counsellor had a talk to the class on Respect so hopefully that improves.

Thanks for your comment from supersad. I have to get a form from centrelink to be filled in by specialist at hospital once he has been assessed. Ill follow that up.

I had to do the same for his older brother when he got sick but it takes time.

I really hope its not the same as his older brother. He has a very long intestine so it takes a long time to get where it has to go. Fingers crossed its not.

I realise i have to pace myself atm for my own health too although its hard sometimes. I must be nice to me as much as i can to get through this.

Big hugs to all.

Hey Shar,

Good to hear u saw MHN and u have a longer appt. in 2 weeks.I'm glad they didn't give u any run-around.

Try and be patient with hubs, the tiredness could well be due to the meds, but he has to get some motivation himself, 'God helps those that help themselves'. Even if its just a walk round the backyard, its a start.

I cac't see why you can't get carer's allowance for hubs as well, something I would jump on atm, it may be a good idea to claim for him now, if his back's crook and on the couch with Dep you must be entitled to something. Your GP should be able to help with that one.

Good luck with the boy's and yes, be good and pamper yourself now and then. You seem to be bearing all the weight atm, you need your own 'me' time as much as you can, just for a breather, we all need it now and then.

Sleep with angels,
Bryzy
