How do you know when - advice hoped for

How do you know when you're at the end of needing to see your psychologist?

As with the meds I just went back onto a low dose of, I sense I'm a good deal better than when I first went to the psych in a pretty appalling state about 12 months ago.

I can't say that it's not helping me to go there (it is) but I no longer feel that seeing the psychologist is an essential part of my week.

So, given that I've been going weekly (more or less) for the last year, would it be wiser to cut it back to fortnightly? Monthly? Or should I discuss it with her and agree to set an end date?

Tell me...what's worked well for you?

:)

Talk to your psychologist and tell her excactly what you have just written and see what she thinks. I think fortnightly for a little while and then monthly and take it from there.

Hope that helps. I try and see mine monthly but haven't seen her for quite some time as my appointment was cancelled because of my cough/suspected chest infection two weeks ago.

Go G!!!

Discuss it with the Psychologist.
All the best.
