Talked to my boss

A page in the diary "surprise surprise"
Written by g463 25. Jun 2008 12:29 AM

So I talked with my boss about how frustrated I am with the 'system' - the whole social sector, and she managed to tell me that I just beat myself up too much, feel too much and that really waht's going on is that it's a completely normal stage of life. That is, that I'm 38, middle aged, and not dealing with it yet.

pfft.

She's only 41 or so...as though she totally understands the entire meaning of life, and has adjusted to the notion that sometimes you just get this in life.

whatever.

In the meantime, I've taken the rest of the week off work to get myself together again.

I don't know much at all about the social sector but perhaps some of the information your boss gave you today, you can think about and see if it applies to you. She is a boss for some reason and has some idea of the social sector. I'm not saying you don't get it. Just think about her words today and how they apply to you.

Have a good week off and I hope it helps you see things in a different light - a better light because the social sector needs wonderful workers like you to survive.

Go G!!!

It's nice she talked with you. But you presented with a work problem and she's turned it into an ageing one. Some Counselling might help you settle back in to your work, or even get you headed in a different direction. Enjoy your break.
