I woke up really late today as I slept very late in the night. Went out for dinner yesterday with my cousins and uncle and had a fabulous dinner. It was a starnge experience as I am not so use to of staying with people as I have social anxiety. Half an hour was where I felt very weird then I started feeling comfortable. I even took part in talking with my uncle's brother about wild life and stuff as I am very crazy about the big cats and giant snakes and crocs. My psychologist says that I need to be with people more often as it is kind of a medicine just like normal meds and therapies we have. It is very difficult to be with people I find it really difficult but I have to try. takecare everyone. I love you all.

Congratulations on your party last night... and talking about your favourite topics... that is so good... yes... the more you talk to others the less scary it feels... it seems it was a safe place for you to be in... and such a success... keep trying...

take care

Omar

Well done for getting out with a group and talking about your favourite topics to your uncle. Sounds like you are taking on board the advice of your psychologist to get out with people and that is good to know/read.

Glad it was a good night.

Go Omar!!!

I think it's true that we do need to be with people - but we WANT to be on our own. In my case anyway. I dread having to socialise (not that I do it very often) but once I get there I am pretty much ok. When I'm with people, my depression goes into hiding and I generally have a good time. It's when I'm alone I begin to think too much and become teary.
