tossed and turned last night.. stayed up till after 11pm to try to make myself tired.
I got up and had breakfast ( banana ) and had my meds then tried to go back to sleep.. didnt work..
then got up and had lunch.. and went back to bed... I decided to try a meditation where I was telling myself I was getting heavier and heavier.. and I fell asleep thankfully.
Am wondering when the 'shift' and change of thoughts will happen? I have experienced difficult thought and depression alot ( first time for a while now though) and I guess I look forward to being more stable in my thought process..
Thanks for all the comments. They help.

Hi bluefix, jacko2 here, pleased to meet you. I am new to the group but have met some great people who love to help any way they can.
I have trouble with sleep also, all my medicos have told me not to sleep during the day, try and go to bed at the same time and wake up at the same time each morning, try to take your meds late afternoon, as they tend to relax you, cut out coffee etc. I have been doing this gradually over the last few days and it is starting to work, give it a try, it may help, but it will take a little time.

Blue

Have you tried warm milk and honey and a pinch of nutmeg or valerian tablets.

I know with depression sleeping can be crap and I know from my experience I fall asleep anytime be it night, day or afternoon. Do try to take your meds at the same time and eat things like the banana before you go to bed as it is supposed to stimulate sleep.

Go Blue!!!
