It seems I was right in hanging back

A page in the diary "Is the plural of Precipice "Precipi"?"

Judging by the diary entries today on this site it seems I was right in hanging back and not engaging any of you in an attempt to be mutually supportive, until I had worked out if this actually was a healthy community with wellness as a shared goal.

Isnt the idea of community to be mutually supportive? Yet another reason for me (and I suspect other new users )to feel isolated.

Comments from the community:

Mate, this place is just going through it's stormy season which, unlike up around Darwin, aren't just certain known times each year.

I figure don't get emotionally involved in it & like a bushfire or cyclone, try to ride it out. We've already had the eye of this storm, so hopefully this rot will pass quickly.

The more people who keep level heads, the quicker it'll pass.

ps: Welcome to DepNet. It's a great site.

Usually.

Akita

LD is right. It is a stage which happens every so often. Don't not come to depnet if you need support, help and friendship. You will get that from the majority of people.

Go Akita!!!

Welcome akita.

It is a storm in a teacup. It will blow over. You will find lots of support and warmth. My only advice is to maybe use the diaries more than chat. Chat can be very explosive and things often get misinterpreted, whereas in the diaries you can take your time with what you're writing and people can take their time and put thought and care into their responses.

I hope you stay around. Just let the gales blow around you, but keep your own candle in nothing more than a gentle breeze.

Love from Kimberly
xoxo
