Upset in a place like this must be expected

as much as I hate to say it, personality clashes such as we've just seen are always going to happen on this website.

Why should be apparent to all. None of us here are particularly stable for a start....

Whenever you gather a group of people, dominant personalities will emerge. If there's conflict between the dominant personalities, then you'll tend to see two 'sides' forming, and that's what we have seen happen here.

All of this can be explained away as just typical human behaviour. This is simply the inevitable clash of the two 'Alpha' personalities on Depnet.

No one should be banned, deleted or otherwise censored as even if you were to put healthy and stable individuals together this type of thing happens.

It's called human nature. It would even happen if you were to put the Mods together in a room and have them talk about their personal lives.... (now THAT would be funny)

even if you were to delete all the 'problem' users and find a way to keep them off the site, new alpha personalities will take their place.

My point is, people are always going to clash... let it happen and dont try to exercise undue control over it, and the conflict will lose momentum on it's own.

I agree with you. Some people are evidently affected by the harsh exchanges between others.

Hey akita...yes...being stable/or not being stable is just a label....as can be mental 'illness'.

Humans are humans...have emotions, different ways of expressing them, different values, different behaviours. Personality clashes & conflicts, although uncomfortable/difficult are par for the course. It happens in all living organisms...so it is not just about being a human...it is about being part of the animal kingdom(sorry...yes...I am a biologist!).

It is our ability to choose how we react/respond both internally and externally that determines how it affects us.

We each have the power of preventing what feels like an emotional crisis from becoming a behavioural crisis, and in this way we can each help ourselves emotionally.

Love Kimberly
