well, i don't mind snow but i'm getting really tired of winter - its been in the minus 20's or 30's all week with wind chills as low as -51!!! it really doesn't help to motivate me to get outside of my four walls.

i'm tired of fighting the thoughts in my head, tired of the effort it takes to get anything done, tired of feeling scared and vulnerable.

i wonder what life is like for people who don't have to fight this dragon all the time.

I'm presuming you're not used to the weather are your current location. I've never been in such conditions myself, so don't know how it affects you, however its tough at any time to have to fight the 'dragon' as you put it. I hope you manage until the weather improves.

Hey Northernbelle, hang in there, the seasons will turn and the weather improve, hopefully your mood will improve with it. I too haven't experienced weather like what you speak of, but I know a few continuous days of rain here can get me feeling glum. Hope you can find something to do that distracts you from your thoughts and uplifts your mood, take care, From Riles

NB

You should be aware that depression can become worse in the winter due to the lack of sun. I hope you don't have seasonal depression which my friend gets ocassionally because she is in Tasmania and it is so much cooler/colder there than the rest of Australia.

Be strong and cope with the weather. It will end soon enough.

Go NB!!!
