ive been so out of it since starting back on my meds. Nautious, migraines, weakness, numb, blurred vision, dizziness, flying spots in the room, a feeling like my brain was floating around my head, feeling like & behaving like im drunk when ive had nothing. sudden highs, laughing at nothing, sore eyes. Some of these came on suddenly to so whats going to happen if im driving with my babies in the car at the time...?
probably more but thats all i can think of at the moment. Does anyone else get any of these? Im taking cipramil for about a week now. Im starting to wonder which is worse the depression or the side effects from the meds. maybe i made a mistake taking them. I dont feel any better, actually i feel a lot like a did when i was pregnant very sick. And i have to feel this while taking care of 2 little boys & brushing off the symptoms for my folks dont know or want me taking them.

Hi Hellhole,

Cipramil was the first medication i was ever put on, and from what i can remember i had very similar side effects, to the point of being suicidal when i wasn't that bad off them. Hence my psych took me off them real quick......

It is hard to deal with side effects when you have young children around, and by the sound of it you don't have much support from your family either, I am not sure why you wont tell them, but you would be better off not hiding it from them, surely they will help you if they know how bad you are feeling?? You may be surprised how supportive they are when they know the truth.

Speak to your Doctor about the meds and let them know how bad they are making you feel. They will explain the side effects a little better to you and decide if they are too much for you to handle....and hopefully change them to something else. Most meds have side effects of some sort....just some are worse than others.

Good luck Hellhole, and i hope you can trust your family enough to let them know how you are really feeling.

Take care of you.

Hellhole

See your doctor asap because you have to look after two children and drive and you can't have the side effects you are describing while driving. Make a list of all the side effects you have had since starting the cipramil and take it with you to the doctor and tell the doctor you are feeling worse and you need to make a decision before getting to the doctor - stay on them/come off them - and tell the doctor what you want and make sure they do it and ask for another med that could have less side effects because of your babies.

Go Hellhole!!!

Hi,

The side effects for me subsided within 2 weeks, i had headahces , nauseea and dizziness coupled with extrememly vivid dreams and de jevu.

I am on a 20mg dose and it is doing quite well for me, for the age gap 16-25 it is usually the safest medication according to my doctor as it isnt usually accostumed with really negative effects such as zoloft or effexor.

Talk to your doctor, it may be that you need to wait a few more days or possibly half the dosage till the major effects settle.

All the best,
Tara
