Who would of though, it has been 11yrs since the Threadbo Landslide Disaster, i can still remember it as if it was yesterday, and im still getting the photographic images, the sleepless nights, and the nightmare's, just to name a few.
Up until 11 years ago, i did have a life, and a sence of enjoyment. It only took one week to destroy my iner- self.

Hey Mikey,
Letting you know I am thinking about you as you try to overcome this huge disaster that has happened in your life. The saying time heals old wounds does not apply to this situation - it is something that you will have for the rest of your life.
I hope in time you can find peace and be able to feel the sense of enjoyment and live your life how you want again,
Take care of yourself
Lynne

Dear Mikey,

Thinking of you and sending you strength during this awful time for you. PTSD is a complex issue - i know I suffer too, but mine is easing now and I don't have the terrible flashbacks and nightmares.

I wish the same for you dear Mikey - to be well again. You will never forget, but I do hope there is an improved future for you. 11 years is just too long for anyone to suffer like this.

Sending you ((((((hugs))))))

Would it help u to read the book by Stuart Diver (a name forever etched in peoples memories...)?

I understand it would be traumatic for u but if anyone could understand what you've been through, and are indeed still struggling with, its him.

Hopefully u could gain a sense of acceptance and closure, inspiration even, from reading it...

Love to u

Sorry to hear that you are still troubled by that event. I hope the years ahead can provide some relief.

Gyps

I have tryed to read the book, and watch the movie, but i couldnt get through it. Both the movie and the book is only based on only 65hrs which he was trapped for.

Man, I got nuthin' in the way of supporting words. What you went through & the things you would've seen...makes me cringe just trying to imagine it (and falling a millenium short with what I imagine anyway).

It's a credit to you that you're still here & still lucid. Something like that would have fried my mind completely, I reckon.

Michael.
