What is meant by the term 'energy' when refering to alterrnative healing methology? Does it work, and how?

Its means your chakra (?). By bringing u to a state of peace & relaxation, the therapist is able to work on u to try to bring your energy centres into alignment so they essentially travel straight down your body. I think u have 7 energy centres but dont quote me. Research Reiki, Chakra, 'bringing energy centres into alignment' on the net. Its all about achieving a state of peace & harmony & the methods & theory would be right up your alley. In fact, Im surprised u havent already explored this field!! xxx

I have in the distant past gyps, and am researching it from a different knowledge base. Yes, 'chakra' refer to 'energy' centres, and there are said to be seven of them as you suggest. What though, is this 'energy', is it 'electromagnetic'?? May the force be with you!

Hi Geo I've had an Energy Healing and it really does work, my cousin also give me a little bit of Reiki as well when every I have an appointment with her (my cousin is my Chiropractor). The Energy is through them. They place their hands on the parts of your body that need healing or balancing. When I had my Energy Healing I was very anxious and I felt it around he stomach areas so the lady that gave me the Energy Healing placed her hands over my tummy as she could also pick up that my tummy was in turmoil. It's not uncomfortable and it does not hurt you just feel a heat where the person is giving you the Energy Healing or Reiki The night that I had my Energy Healing I slept like a baby. I also find that when ever my cousin does Reiki on me I sleep very well. You can also give yourself Energy Healing and you can also give it to animals as well. I am planning on doing my Reiki Level 1 so I can use it on myself and on my animals. I hope this helps. coylie97

Hi Geoff, Having energy that early in the morning...4:31 post! Alternative therapies really have a place. The unquantifiable therapy of touch is incredible. Not an expert by any means, but hopeful that if it work for you! Cheers, Bob
