Who can avoid Sugar, Caffine, Alcohol and Nicotine - All of them? I'd be eating nothing without Sugar.
Is anyone avoiding all of them, and does it help?

Winterrain

You shouldn't be drinking alcohol because of the reaction to medications - so I don't drink, smoke or have caffeine and I feel better sometimes and when I have caffeine - coke - I don't sleep.

Go Winterrain!!!

Not me.. my diet consists of coffee and cigarettes. (cringe) gross I know. But when I'm depressed I have no interest in food.

yeah, right now im drinking, i just finished a cigarette, im eating doritos, and there'll probably be caffeine involved at some stage.

i can say with 100% confidence that i feel much better when my intake of all these things is at the bare minimum.

I was avoiding all of them - maybe just a bit of sugar occaisionally - and yes it does help.

Unfortunately in the last 5 weeks I've slipped back into bad habits...but I'm planning on fixing that real soon.

It doesn't just help because it is better for you body and nervous system - it also helps because you have a real feeling of cherishing and nurturing yourself by being conscious of what you consume - and cherishing and nurturing ourselves is what deppies so often fail to do. When we can love ourselves, it makes such a difference to the way we perceive both ourselves, and also everything else in our world.

Sending you love
