Hang in there, your gonna get through this ok and the fact that your kids have a mum is a huge positive. Without you they would be lost. And planning the day in advance is a good thing to do, because at least you know that you need to eat the right food and are trying to do something about it. Oh and your not a pathetic and useless person...

You're not pathetic and you're not useless either.

You seem to have the same problem as I do, you cannot seperate your self-worth from your day-to-day life. For example, if I don't get everything done that I need to then that makes me a bad person. It is just one of the distortions in thinking that comes with mental illness... Becoming aware of this is the first step to fixing it (I hope anyway!!)

Hey there
I agree with Babz, depression distorts our thinking (I know it does with me!)I too am SOO unmotivated and I feel useless for not getting much done. Our self esteem takes a real battering and we think the worst of ourselves. Hang in there, the sun will shine for us again!
