Sad, down, down, crying, thinking of going to uni in ballarat just so my kids don't have to be around me and I can stop screwing them up...much better to have a mum who is away studying and back on weekend to do good stuff, than a mum who is constantly sick in bed...my daughter is getting obsessive anxiety and tummy pain with anxiety, and my son is just so angry..has anyone else had counselling for children and did it help? Thanks guys big hugs to all
Avril

You need to be strong and supportive for the kids. I can't say anything about family counselling but couples counselling helped my partner and I to get to the stage of a wedding. It helped grately and I am sure if you got a good psychiatrist, therapist or psychologist it would help you and the kids as well. They are already getting symptoms of anger problems and depression so you need to work quickly to get the ball rolling.

I saw a psychologist when I was little (about 8), from what I can recall it helped. I know the name of an excellent child psych in Melbourne if you are interested...

I'm not a mum, but I know that I would rather have my mum nearby all the time - imperfections and all, than absent most of the time.
