Does anyone out there suffer from a leaky depression??

Recently my depression has been been oozing into places where it previously has not been, more specifically into areas that have been places where I could go into autopilot and not think twice about what I'm doing.

If you have "leaky" depression.. what have you done that helps??

I'm seeing a psych, have a great GP and a wonderfully caring naturopath.. but the depression continues to permeate...

Help.. please??

Cute entry. What I hate about depression even when I am doing pretty well is that I am conscious of everything I do. Cause I guess over time it has leaked everywhere.
Sounds like you are working really hard at getting better though..

Hey Spazny,

Make time for new/other auto pilot tasks/activities. I like watching a DVD when I really need a mindless activity. You can't stuff up watching a DVD.
If your activiy of choice is related in any way to couch potato-ness then also undertake a physical mindless activity, I suggest walking. Even walking slowly is better than no physical activity at all.
Hope this helps.

Re.

p.s. and remember that the symptoms of depression are in fact just that - they are NOT you...they are symptoms.

Spazny

Talk about it with your psych, gp and natropath. Not something I am aware of and I have had depression for a long time. I'm with gyps, I think of incontinence pads when I was reading this entry.

Sorry can't help.

Go Spazny!!!
