Hi Deppies,

Well tommorow is court day. Im a bit anxious, but I am hoping I get what I want and what bubs needs. Yes its re: Access to his Father. I would like his Father to come here instead of bubs and I having to travel an hour there and back in the car every 2nd Saturday.

With Summer coming up it's going to be uncomfortable for Bubs, so Im putting it to the court now. Plus I cannot afford the fuel on such a limited income atm.
Also his father is paying about $50-90 a month in child support and he's earning $70,000 a year so should be paying alot more.

But Im sure most of you know how it goes with Child Support... they recently had them on a current affair becoz one man was chased to his suicidal death from csa, while another was left alone.

The ones that have alot of money seem to be left alone and the ones that are struggling to live and pay child support seem to be chased up left right and centre. Not fair...CSA is not a fair system whats-so-ever. I will be seeing them this month so they can explain to me why....they have not chased my sons father for child support.

Well on that note I must go... got alot of things to do and organise, so pls Deppie friends, wish me all the best for Bubs and myself. Thanx for reading.

Haveagoodweekend :)

Good luck but I honestly don't see that you will need it. It's his place to do the travelling not yours since you are the custodial parent and do all of the work all of the rest of the time. He can't possibly have any legitimate excuse for not being able to travel himself.
I'm not sure what outcome you want but I hope you get it anyway.

Good luck Cherry.

BTW, don't judge CSA (or anyone) from an ACA or T/T story. Due to privacy, CSA can't respond except in the most broad terms, yet Joe Citizen is encouraged by the programme to such an extent that the story aired bares little-to-no similarity to the true facts of the case. Would bet my bottom dollar the reason they left the guy alone (IF it's in fact true) is because the mother didn't ask CSA to collect on her behalf. Because they can't comment on specifics, people can make (and be egged on to make) any outrageous accusations against CSA, with immunity from the truth getting out.

Good luck yes, but what you ask is so fair and reasonable.

Cherry I know you are nervous but try to stay calm.I hope you are looking at the long term outcomes. Like birthdays, chrissie, mothers day etc, also do you have a car? The judge will look at all these things. And I would be contacting csa as the amount of child support doesnt seem right my son pays $180 a month and hes on only $30,000. You can lodge a review of the assesment. TC

Cherry

Good luck tomorrow.

CSA - he could be telling them a different income. Get the money garnished from his wages if he earns as much as you say. They are not a nice agency to deal with so try you best to get some more support for the two of you.

Go Cherry!!!
