My Boys Make Me So Proud

As some of you know, yesterday was my youngest's 18th Birthday party. Some of the mates arrived on Friday night and had a few drinks. Saturday morning came and they all chipped in and helped hubbie and me get organised for the party without having to be asked. Afternoon was filled with motorbike racing and heaps of laughs.
As the night progressed there were quite a few people - about 100 - 150 turn up - alot my younger son knew but alot he didn't.
We were a little worried about what might happen but my eldest son and his mates came over, gave me a hug and reassured me that nothing would happen and leave it to them. True to their word, a few incidents happened and they sorted it out.
The music was turned off at 3am and when a few of the crowd decided to carry on, they were told to shut up or go home.
This morning, once again, they all jumped in and helped clean up and even cooked brekkie. Then once again, motorbike riding. My eldest even took me for a ride on the 4 wheeler - i think his ribs are a bit sore from me hugging him so tight.

The youngest was a little help, but he had a big day/night lol

I am so proud of my two boys and the mates that they have chosen - they are caring, sharing and loving and always willing to jump in and help if they can. The girls didn't miss out, they encouraged me to join in with them, took me with them when they went into town and made sure I had a drink in my hand at all times.

I love my two boys so much and they always me feel like I am one of the gang.

I just really had to write how I am feeling after the weekend

Take care
Lynne

This would have to be the best ever positive post on depnet i have ever read!

There is such joy in our kids be they 1 or 18 or 40 or what ever and your pride shows through.

This is a wonderful memory to hold onto and steal it out if you get a bad day.

Chook I am so very happy for you, and your entire family.

Lotsa Love
