Got an offer, hubby going for tests and self harming in here!!!

Migraine, meds and sleep. Didn't hear hubby get up and then I did hear him screaming on the phone and it was time to get up and have some lunch.

Got an email from my solicitor - offer has been accepted. Have emailed solicitor some questions I need answered about costs for solicitor, barrister and how the payment is going to be made as centrelink will possibly take money. Once I get the information I will probably accept the offer - I think it is a good amount and we may have some money to live on.

Cate - I read your comment about my reaction to hubby's news. We have decided there is no point in worrying about things yet until we know what we are up against. He is having his tests on Monday and I am very scared for him and hope it is just a scare/not serious. Hubby last night bought a handsfree set for his mobile phone because he thinks it is what caused the possibility of the bone cancer. I emailed my sister last night the news and she came back saying they thought her hubby had bone cancer a couple of months back. Saw him on the anzac day long weekend and he was in pain but that was his disabled leg.

Hubby has gone to work tonight - he is thinking about giving up his two nights work and that is not a good idea for him - he needs to work to support us. Settlement will help but centrelink will look at it as assets and income and my pension will be affected by the payout. That is why I need to know how the offer is going to be made to me because it affects both of us - him wanting to give up work and our pensions.

Again been harming - last night and today.

Bryz, thanks for your definition of a house and a home.

I am sorry to read you lost your home and I did panic when I thought I would lose my home but the thing is I never actually asked my solicitor to put an offer forward but she did so it means the case is probably going to be settled and won't go to court which is a good thing. Could have done with more money but have to be happy with what I got. I could have lost my home and then I would be in great trouble. This way I have my home and I can pay Queen Bee her money.

Take Care All!!!

I am glad you have talked with your husband and worked out the strategy of not to worrying... sometimes our words don't always say what we intend... that is the case with me especially yesterday... i seemed to need to apologise to a few... so am not commenting much today... just in case... some diaries made me annoyed...

thanks for understanding
