Hello all, Surfer (Peter) and I have been in touch over recent weeks and he has asked me to let you all know he is going OK. He has been in hospital for his mental health issues but is progressing. I received the note below today.

“Please feel free to pass on information about my hsopitlisation - I wouldn't want friends on depnet to be unnecessarily concerned. I did read some of the stuff on the diaries and found it very disappointing. There are so many fine people on depnet who respond so well to a little happiness. I see the same thing in my "special" (ie psych) ward at the hospital. Happiness, like misery, can be contagious. The good news for me yesterday was that I could have day leave for the weekend, and I am no longer on 15 minute watch. Progress!!! May all depnetters make progress, and may you, Liz, make progress beyond your greatest hopes.”

One great human being there….I miss him a lot.

Hey Liz,

Thank you so much for passing on this message from Peter. I knew he was going to hospital and have asked several people if they knew how he was going, but nobody knew or seemed to want to say anything. I know he hasnt been good, and i have been very worried about him.

You are so so right, he is a very special man with a heart like gold and we could do with more like him in this world. I am just sorry he is going through what he is right now, he certainly doesn't deserve it, as do none of us i suppose.

I am please that he is getting day leave, and hopefully it will make him feel a little better. I have been where he is now and had the same treatment he is currently having and feel for him terribly.

Liz, please pass on my best wishes to Peter next time you speak to him, and tell him i miss him heaps.

And you take care also.

Hi Liz,

Thanks for the update on Peter, I was chatting to him in the chat room one day a while ago and he seemed like a really great character.

My wish is what Peter wishes for you, to make progress beyond your greatest hopes. That's what I'm always wishing for you Liz. Peter is a very good judge of character.
