The pain in my chest just won't go away...Its so damn tight and my arm is so dead and numb..Its stress and anxiety I know, but I just can't get used to it..
I just can't get on top of things..My essay is still due tomorrow, still can't get my head together to get it done..I just want it over and done with..
I just want to curl up and sleep the days away..
I need some time out..Some time away from me..
I need some encouragement, motivation and support and couldn't think of a better place than here,a better place than 'home' to get that..
Hope everyone else on here is well.
Take care everyone!
Jo

You sound pretty down. Can you get your doctor to give a certificate so you can get an extension of time on your essay due to your health.

I can understand the need to curl up and sleep and want everything going on around you to disappear. I have done this and even imagines God or my guardian angels arms around me and sheilding me from the world.

What is your essay why not let people know by your diary what you have to write and see if everyone can support you in putting it together.

That is after asking for an extension. When we are not well it is hard to find motivation and for the brain to function. Although sometimes with the help of others the right words can help to start your off on what needs to be written and even fill some of the gabs.

Why not ask the people here are very supportive and it will help everyone to focus on a diversion like this. And it would be fun to see what marks the team work would get.

Hey Jo

This probably isn't what you want to hear - but the only way to deal with this is to actually sit down and DO your essay - to stop avoiding it, or hiding from it, or dreading it - but to get in there and DO it.

First thing is to write an email to your lecturer saying that you are doing it - it's going to be late because you are struggling with depression - but you are DOING it and you WILL submit it. You might even want to say to your lecturer that it is ok if he/she deducts marks, but that you just want him/her to understand that you ARE submitting it.

Then after that - sit down and start writing. You've done other essays - you've managed other essays. You can do this one as well. I think you'll find that when you're actually into it and DOING it you will lose some of your anxiety and rather be focused on ACHIEVING it and you will feel better.

Stop running away from your fears - and start running towards them.

Lots of love and support and encouragement

Jo

Try and do your essay and hopefully that will take your mind off the pain/anxiety. Do the essay in parts - helped me to get my uni work done when I was stressed/anxious.

Go Jo!!!

Hi Jo

I agree with Kimberly on this one. It won't write itself and you'll feel lousy till you do it.

Don't concern yourself with trying to write the best possible essay. Concern yourself with just getting the damned thing done. It's more important to get it submitted and getting a pass than it is to write the world's best essay.

Love and support

Jenny

Dear Jo,
Hope things worked out for you with your essay. After chatting to Jenny and myself untill the early hours of the morning, doubt if your brain could still function.
Sending you hugs and support.
