Hi all,

I did talk but it went terribly I was so incredibly nervous. However everyone in my class were really supportive. When I got there I overheard that this talk was n't going to be assessed! ah I could have just gone home it wouldn't have mattered...but I stayed.

I'm glad I did it though :) I had a chnage in medication so that may have worsen my mood but I realize that I just need to keep doing it. I want to keep facing all my fears in the face no matter how bad it feels because I am determined to do my best to combat all my demons.

Thanks guys for your support you don't realize how much I appreciate it

Hi bluewave,

I haven't been following the posts here of late, but I infer from your message that you did some public speaking? Congratulations! The large majority of people hate public speaking, and that's compounded for those who suffer from self-consciousness or low self-esteem (I am not sure exactly what your situation is though, but I know depression often involves these things)

And if I am totally on another planet here and you are not talking about public speaking, congratulations anyway. It sounds like you attempted something you were really nervous about but worked past your fears, which is a huge accomplishment.

All the best

Congratulations on doing your talk! That's massive! Everybody in uni seems to bond together over their mutual hatred of some various piece of assessment, so I'm glad they were supportive for you.

Great job facing your fear.

When you face what you fear you become fearless.
