Physical symptoms of depression

I'm wondering about the physical symptoms of depression, not the mental symptoms and whether the only way to treat them is with medication. When I say physical symptoms I mean the fuzzy feeling inside the head, the lack of concentration, the overall feeling of heaviness, and the zombie-like feelings (sort of like a numbness). I'm not talking about the emotional feelings or the dysfunctional thought patterns. The reason I ask is because I believe the emotional aspects can be treated with therapy such as CBT. But I'm thinking that maybe the physical symptoms will not be fixed by therapy? Can anyone comment on this? (I wrote a diary entry on this on 20/11/08 if you want to read it).
