I'm starting Edronax(reboxetine) and would like some personal feedback re side-effects & effectiveness. I'm struggling at the moment ... does it work for others and how has it made a difference?

Hi i have been taking Edronax for some time for depression at 12mg or 3 tablets early in the day. Im not keen on being a pill popper but believe the tabs help especially with alertness and concentration. Noticable side effects for me have been difficult to urinate and lessened libido.
The positives have been worth it and would be a mess without edronax even though I have periods where i battle with depression especially negative thoughts anxiety and fatigue. Youll probably find the tabs do help and the side effects will be different to mine hopefully but if youve got depression i think medication counselling and positive thinking all have to be done to keep on top of the illness. Keeping reasonably busy tends to keep my mind occupied from negative thoughts also and when you can keep moving and exercise and healthy eating.
I hope your struggle with depression isnt a hard one but Edronax should help if you stick to it. Hope you can reply back id be keen to know how you get on. This is my first reply on depnet and have so far found that many people share their thoughts and support so im interested to talk to others you dont feel so alone with the depression as many people on the outside wouldnt understand yours or my situation Being isolated with depression is the worst kind of feeling i have experienced take care Alby

Hi, I have just started on same med. I've tried most other snti-dep from other classes over the last 8 years so this is my last one to try really. Also, my Dr wants to possibly augment it with a mood stabiiliser later on, has anyone tried this?
Any feedback or advice would be great.
Thanks,
moody

I tried Edronax for about 2 years, then it wore off. It seemed really good while it was working- I got energised and got my sex drive back! However, I started to have some subtle side effects towards the end of 2 years- but they weren't there before- so give it a go. My side effect was feeling terribly hot and sweaty at night, even in the middle of winter with no bed covers! I think the energising effect works by stimulating your adrenaline and I've always been very adrenaline sensitive as an asthmatic- so it was just me, really.
